Providence Montessori is participating in the GoodGiving Guide Challenge again this year!!!! We were able to raise close to $50,000 last year with the help of family and friends!!

What is the GoodGiving Guide Challenge?

The GoodGiving Guide Challenge is an online giving campaign designed to engage the entire community and to make charitable giving easy and fun. Now in its fifth year, the Challenge is a partnership between Blue Grass Community Foundation and Smiley Pete Publishing. The 2014 GoodGiving Guide Challenge raised over $1.77 million in partnership with 155 participating nonprofits in Central and Eastern Kentucky. In addition to receiving contributions from donors, nonprofits will also have the opportunity to compete for $10,000 endowment prizes made possible by Blue Grass Community Foundation and supportive donors.

How does it work?

Blue Grass Community Foundation and Smiley Pete Publishing will host the GoodGiving Guide Challenge beginning Friday, November 13 at 9:00 a.m and ending December 31 at 11:59. This event encourages charitable donations through our online giving platform, hosted by Razoo.

Razoo will provide toolkits, training sessions, outreach support, mass media and social media coverage to make it easy for all nonprofits to participate. Each participating organization will have an individualized web page to promote their cause.

Individuals will be able to donate money to the nonprofit organizations of their choice starting November 13 at 9:00 am. All donations are tax deductible and irrevocable. (Donations will not be refunded). Donors will receive a receipt for their gift. The nonprofit will receive contact information for each donor, unless the donor elects to remain anonymous.

The Razoo Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization which permits donors to advise a re-granting of their donations to other IRS recognized qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations, will accept the gifts and will then re-grant the monies to the nonprofits selected by the donors.

Is there a minimum or maximum donation?

The minimum donation for the GoodGiving Guide Challenge is $10. There is no maximum donation limit for the GoodGiving Guide Challenge.

Do I need an account on Razoo to donate?

No, you do not need to create an account to make a donation. However, if you plan to give multiple times during the GoodGiving Guide Challenge, creating an account means you only have to enter your credit card information once. Your account also collects your tax receipts in one location and enables you to track your donation, review the charities your support and schedule future giving.

Can I donate to the GoodGiving Guide Challenge on my smart phone?

Yes – this site is mobile friendly! Simply visit on your smartphone to browse all the amazing nonprofits participating.

Can I fundraise for my favorite nonprofit?

Yes! You can be a hero for the cause(s) you care about – we call these GoodGiving Guide Ambassadors! Alternatively, you can visit the Organization Page of any nonprofit listed on Razoo and click “Fundraise” to start the page creation process. Please note that in order to create a Fundraising Page you will be prompted to sign into your Razoo user account, or create one if you don’t already have an account.
