WELCOME TO THE SPANISH CORNER

In recognizing the child’s aptitude for learning language skills, Providence offers regular lessons in all grades in Spanish, taught by Inma Santa-Pau. Señora Santa-Pau is in her second year at Providence having come from a teaching job at Henry Clay High School in Lexington.

In today’s increasingly global environment, the study of other languages and cultures is one of the best skills we can encourage in our children. She believes total immersion is the best and fastest way to learn the language and her objective is to awaken in your child a passion for learning…specifically Spanish. In just a few weeks, you will notice he/she will already be using Spanish words and phrases naturally.

Señora Santa-Pau believes students are eager to participate in class and are eager to show what they have learned. Providence Montessori encourages participation and actively seeks parents to be supportive in reviewing their lessons at home and you should find your children coming home and ‘teaching’ you how to speak in a foreign language!

Providence provides the textbook, “ADELANTE.” There is also a workbook that each student needs to purchase.
