Strategic Plan

Our Strategic Plan

In May 2000, the Providence Board of Directors and faculty embarked on a process to identify the long-term needs of the school, as perceived by parents and staff. An initial committee comprised of current and past parents, faculty, and Board members gathered information through a series of town hall meetings and surveys involving the entire Providence community. The process culminated in the development of a 2003-2008 strategic plan.

This plan identified eight planning areas, including staff compensation, campus development, fiscal responsibility, curriculum, diversity, marketing, financial aid and development.  In both 2008 and again in 2015, the plan was revisited to assess progress in achievement of goals and to identify new, or refine, long-term needs for Providence Montessori School.

During the 2022-2023 school year, the Board, Providence staff, and current Providence families once again worked collaboratively to devise an updated strategic plan that both reflects the progress we've made and anticipates the future needs of the school.  We are grateful to all who volunteered their time throughout the entire process and are proud to have a solid plan for the future.

Our three children have thrived at Providence. The atmosphere there is one that is very difficult to put into words. The mutual respect between the children and the teachers is prevelent. Just this one important factor , I feel, sets the stage for an incredible amount of learning.

Providence Parent

We can not say enough about the quality of education and developmental nurturing that our daughter has received at Providence. They stress each child’s ability to be strong and independent, as well as emphasize that each child progresses differently. We are so happy that we chose to send our daughter to Providence and would highly recommend them to any parents looking to place their child.
