Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the questions we hear most often about the admission process.

  • How do I schedule a visit to Providence Montessori School?

We'd love to get to know your family! Simply click the Inquire Now button to complete our inquiry form. Once we receive it, a member of our admissions team will reach out to answer your questions and guide you through the next steps, including registering for a Campus Walkabout.

  • Do you offer campus tours?

Yes! We offer weekly Campus Walkabouts on Wednesday mornings. During the walkabout, you'll explore our campus, observe our learning environments, and learn more about the Montessori philosophy and our programs.

Campus Walkabouts are the first on-campus step in our admissions process.

  • What should I expect during a Campus Walkabout?

Campus Walkabouts last approximately one hour and include a guided tour of our campus, observations of our classrooms, and an opportunity to learn about the Montessori philosophy, our programs, and the admissions process. You'll also have time to ask questions along the way.

  • Can I bring my child to the Campus Walkabout?

To protect the children's uninterrupted work cycle and provide parents with the opportunity to focus on learning about our school, Campus Walkabouts are reserved for adults only. Your child will have a dedicated opportunity to visit campus and meet our teachers during their scheduled Meet & Greet.

  • When will my child visit the school?

After attending a Campus Walkabout and submitting an application, our admissions team will contact you to schedule a Meet & Greet. During this visit, your child will spend time meeting teachers, exploring the classroom, and becoming familiar with the school in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

  • What happens after my child's Meet & Greet?

Once your child's Meet & Greet is complete, we'll be in touch to discuss the next steps and answer any remaining questions. Our goal is to make the enrollment process as simple, informative, and welcoming as possible.

  • When should I begin the admissions process?

We encourage families to begin the admissions process as early as possible.

Many classrooms fill well before the start of the school year, and beginning early provides the best opportunity for placement.

  • How do I know if Montessori is the right fit for my child?

That's exactly what the admissions process is designed to help you discover. Your introductory conversation, Campus Walkabout, and your child's Meet & Greet provide opportunities for your family to learn about Montessori, ask questions, and  etermine whether Providence Montessori School is the right fit for your child.

  • Do I need to know anything about Montessori before I visit?

Not at all! Whether you're new to Montessori or already familiar with the philosophy, our admissions team will guide you through the process, explain what you'll see during your Campus Walkabout, and answer any questions you have along the way.
