Gretta Cozzi

Classroom V Lead Teacher

Gretta holds a B.A. in French, an M.Ed., and is Montessori certified from ages 3-9 years old.  She is also trained in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction. She taught in primary for 10 years before moving to lower elementary in 2012.  Gretta loves infusing her interest in languages and traveling into the rich cultural curriculum of the Montessori classroom, and enjoys learning something new every day from the children.  Their curiosity and wonder inspire her to always ask questions and seek more knowledge.  Her own children, now in high school, are alumni of Providence.  She lives on a small farm with her husband, two children, two horses, two cats, and a dog.  When she’s not at school, she loves to be outdoors as well as cooking, reading, and playing card games and board games.
