Joan Young
Head of School
Joan has taught at Providence Montessori School at the primary level for 30 years before becoming Head of School in 2018, alongside Joellen. She received her American Montessori Society early childhood teaching credential for 3-6 year olds through Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center in Chicago, Illinois. Joan is also trained in Orton-Gillingham, a multi-sensory language program, and she has used her expertise over the years to tutor many students with dyslexia and other reading deficiencies.
