Kary Fernandez

Spanish

Kary joined the middle school staff in 2021.  She currently teaches our Spanish-language classes as well as our yoga elective class. She is a native Spanish speaker, originally from the Dominican Republic.  Kary completed an Acquisition Boot Camp Course from the Comprehensible Classroom obtaining her credentials in teaching World Languages in a holistic manner in 2022 and has implemented that methodology for learning a foreign language into her classes at Providence.  She has a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Arts from Pennsylvania State University and began teaching middle school Spanish in 2018.  In addition to teaching, she has been a translator and interpreter for medical practices and law offices.
