Kim Sherr

Room VI Lead Teacher

Kim has taught in the Lexington community since 1988.  With degrees from the University of Kentucky in education (K – 5) and special education learning disorders (K – 12), she has taught in both public and private schools in Fayette County. Providence has been her teaching home since 2000. Her two adult children are alumni of Providence who attended the school from primary through middle school. Kim received her Montessori certification in both lower and upper elementary in 2018. While at Providence, she has worn many hats, including reading specialist, librarian, upper elementary co-teacher, and lower elementary head teacher. Kim loves teaching using the Montessori methodology, as well as reading, gardening, and theater.
