Permaculture & Sustainability Guide

Michael joined the middle school staff in 2021.  He is a former Montessori student himself, having attended Montessori school from primary through middle school.  He completed his permaculture training with Oregon State University in December 2022 and began his Montessori for Adolescents training program with International Montessori Training Institute in Ohio in February 2023.  He teaches our land classes and team teaches humanities and science with our other guides.  In addition, he brings his love of Ultimate Frisbee to the middle school campus (he is the University of Kentucky’s Ultimate Frisbee Coach) by teaching an elective on Disc Sports.
