Rebecca Trivisonno

Lower Elementary

Rebecca grew up in Libertyville, Illinois and Tokyo, Japan. From a young age, she traveled the world and explored different cultures. Her love of travel also ignited a love of the arts. During college, she studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design where she earned her BFA in Illustration. She worked as a freelance illustrator, fine artist and graphic designer in Chicago before finding her way to early education.

Rebecca, her husband, and two children moved to Kentucky in 2015 where she began working at Lexington Friends Preschool as a primary Montessori teacher. While at LFP, she also explored other teaching approaches such as Waldorf and Reggio Emilia. She enjoyed taking inspiration from these pedagogies and finding creative ways to include Waldorf storytelling and Reggio-art into her Montessori classroom. While working as Lead Primary teacher, Rebecca earned her Montessori certification through North American Montessori Center.

After the pandemic closed schools temporarily, Rebecca went on to teach art education at ARTplay Children’s Studio here in Lexington. After several fun and colorful years, she decided to go back to the Montessori classroom and is thrilled to join Providence’s Lower Elementary in Classroom 6.

In her free-time, Rebecca enjoys painting, music, traveling, gardening, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
