Jill Shearer
Classroom II
Jill joined the Providence team in 2024 and is currently a co-teacher in Classroom II. She is pursuing her Montessori certification through Oaks Montessori Teacher Education Program. Prior to Providence, she taught in both private and public schools for the past ten years. Before teaching, she was a staff artist at the Lexington Herald-Leader and a small business owner. She has a BA in journalism from the University of Kentucky, attended Western Kentucky University for her Masters in Teaching and is trained in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction. She is married with two college-age kids and two toddler-age golden retrievers.
