Jill Shearer
Classroom II
Jill joined the Providence team in 2024. She is currently working toward completing her Primary Montessori certification through Oaks Montessori Teacher Education. Prior to Providence, she taught in both private and public schools for more than ten years. Before teaching, she was a staff artist at the Lexington Herald-Leader and owned a record store. She has a BA in journalism from UK, attended WKU for her Masters in Teaching, and is trained in the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction. She is married with two children and two golden retrievers.
